a unit for measuring liquid, used especially for milk and beer. A pint in Britain is 0.568 litres, and a pint in the United States is 0.473 litres.
品脫
A fixed amount of liquid — about half a litre — the size of a tall glass you can hold in one hand.
一個「一手握得住的份量」。品脫本來就是量牛奶、量啤酒用的單位，大約半公升——差不多就是一個高玻璃杯裝滿的量。有趣的是英美兩邊的品脫不一樣大：英國 0.568 公升，美國 0.473 公升，所以同一個字在倫敦和紐約倒出來的份量其實有差。
