You can think of 'nor' as the word that carries a 'no' forward onto a second thing. Once one thing has been denied, 'nor' reaches over and says: this next thing is denied in the same way. It always lives next to a negative — it keeps the 'not' running.

可以想成 nor 是一個把「不」接力傳下去的詞。前面已經否定了一件事,nor 就伸手把這個「不」帶到下一件事上,說「這件也一樣不」。它身邊一定要有個負面的影子(neither、not、no),它的工作就是讓那個否定不斷延續下去。
