Mustn't is the short spoken form of must not. You use it when something is not allowed, or when you want to warn someone strongly: you mustn't touch that; you mustn't tell. It is not the same as don't have to. Don't have to means there is no need — you may skip it. Mustn't means no: do not do it. British classrooms care a lot about that pair. American speakers use must not a bit less, and often say can't for the same “not allowed” feeling. The first t in mustn't is usually silent: it sounds like MUSS-unt. You keep the in writing.
