    「morale」講的是「一群人共用的信心、滿足與希望」——班級、球隊、社團一起做事時的心氣高低。常見 high/low morale、boost/raise morale、keep up morale、team morale。核心畫面可以想成「團體的心氣溫度計」：高＝大家有勁，低＝大家沒勁。它跟 confidence 容易搞混——confidence 多半是一個人對自己的把握；morale 多半是整組人的士氣。也跟 moral（道德／故事寓意）只差一個字母，意思完全不同。

Think of a team's shared mood as something with a level, like water in a tank — it can be high, it can drop. Morale is that level: how much fight and hope a group still has in it. It belongs to the group, not to one person.
