Militantly tells you how someone holds a view or fights for it: in a militant way, with no soft edges, ready to push hard. ‘Militantly opposed’ means they are not against it; they will organise, shout, refuse, perhaps break rules. In careful writing it still points back to political or social struggle. In looser talk it can mean ‘very, very firmly’ — ‘militantly tidy’ — though that is playful and a bit sarcastic. It does not mean ‘in a military manner’ (that word is militarily: with troops, ranks, and army methods). Adverb; you put it before an adjective or after a verb.
