Melodiously tells you how something sounds or is done: in a tuneful, music-like way. A bird may sing melodiously; a line of a poem may fall melodiously on the ear. It is the same idea as melodious, only used with a verb. You will meet it in descriptions of singing, bells, and speech that already has a tune in it — not as a general word for “nicely.”
