Lucid means clear and easy to understand, like a lucid explanation. It also describes a person's mind being clear, not confused — people often say someone (especially if they're sick or elderly) had 'a lucid moment' when they suddenly thought clearly. A 'lucid dream' is a dream where you know you're dreaming, and sometimes you can even control what happens in it.
