    口語The short form of 'let us'. You say it to suggest doing something together with the person or people you are talking to.

    「let's」是 let us 的縮寫，用來「邀請對方跟自己一起做一件事」，中文最接近的就是句尾的「…吧」——Let's go! 就是「我們走吧！」。它的重點是說話的人也在裡面：不是叫你去做，而是我們一起做，所以聽起來比 You should… 客氣、比 We must… 輕鬆。可以想成 let 有「讓、放行」的感覺，let us 就像在說「讓我們一起…」，久了就縮短成 let's。後面直接接原形動詞（let's go、let's eat），要說「不要」就是 let's not（let's not tell him）。

You can think of it as opening a door and through it together: it is 'let us' squeezed into one word, so the speaker is not giving an order to the other person — they are putting themselves inside the action too. Let's go means you and I, both of us, now. That is why it sounds friendly rather than : whatever is being suggested, the speaker is doing it as well.

可以想成把門打開、然後兩個人一起走出去：它是 let us 縮成一個字，所以說話的人並不是在對別人下命令——他把自己也放進了那個動作裡。Let's go 的意思是「你跟我，我們兩個，現在就走」。這也是它聽起來親切、不像使喚人的原因：不管提議做什麼，說話的人自己也一起做。
