    I've been really busy lately, so I haven't gone out much.

    逐字我最近真的一直很忙，所以我沒有出去很多。

    「lately」是口語裡常用的「最近」，指靠近現在的這幾天或幾週，而且往往還連到現在。常見說法：I've been busy lately、What have you been doing lately？可以想成「從不久前一路接到現在的一小段時間」，所以常搭配現在完成式。跟 recently 比：recently 較能指一件做完的事；lately 更常談一段時間裡持續的狀態。

Picture a window of time that starts a little way back and runs right up to this moment — the last few days or weeks, with now at the far edge. Because that window is still open, the sentence usually keeps a foot in the present too.
