A knockoff is a cheap copy of something expensive — a bag, a watch, a pair of shoes, a design. It looks like the famous thing, but it is not made by that company, and the quality is usually lower. The word is informal. use it; when people mean it is against the law, they may say fake or counterfeit instead. Though actually, not every knockoff is a secret crime: some are openly sold as cheap of a style. People also use it like an adjective: knockoff sunglasses. The picture is something knocked off quickly, not made with care.
