Jittery means anxious or nervous — you cannot sit still, your hands may shake, your thoughts jump. A jittery speaker, a jittery wait for results. Money news also likes it: a jittery market is one that keeps twitching because people are worried. It can describe a thing that shakes or jumps as well: jittery film, jittery lines on a screen. Informal to neutral; not a medical word.
