Picture money going out of someone's hands now, on the expectation that more comes back later. What separates this from spending is the direction of the hope: a buyer wants the thing, an investor wants the money to grow. The person may be an individual with a small savings account or a fund moving millions — the posture is the same.

可以想成：一筆錢現在從某人手上出去，而他期待將來回來的更多。這和「花錢」的差別在於期待的方向：買東西的人要的是那樣東西，投資的人要的是錢本身長大。這個人可能是拿一小筆存款的個人，也可能是操作幾億的基金，姿勢是一樣的。
