You do something instinctively when you do it from instinct, without stopping to think. You instinctively check your pocket for your keys. You instinctively reach out when a glass starts to fall. People instinctively smile at a baby. The meaning is the same as , but this word tells you about the doing, not about the kind of thing. It is a normal, useful adverb — not a fancy one.
