The amount of water in the air, usually given as a number.
濕度
Picture water that is in the air but too small to see — the same water that later shows up on a cold glass or on the bathroom mirror. Humidity can be thought of as that hidden water: how much of it the air is carrying. Sometimes the word stays a number on a weather report, and sometimes it becomes the sticky feeling on your skin — but both are the same invisible water, once counted and once felt.
可以想成空氣裡有水，只是小到看不見——就是後來會出現在冰飲料杯外面、或浴室鏡子上的那些水。humidity 的畫面可以想成那些藏起來的水：空氣正帶著多少。有時候這個字停在氣象報告上的一個數字，有時候它變成皮膚上黏黏的那種感覺——但那都是同一批看不見的水，一次是被量出來的，一次是被感覺到的。
