You can picture hate as the strongest possible 'I do not want this near me' — a feeling so heavy that the thing pushes happiness out of you and you turn away from it.

可以想成一種最強烈的「我一點都不想要這個靠近我」的感覺：那股不喜歡重到把心裡的舒服都擠掉了，於是你整個人想轉身避開它。從這個核心，hate 一路長出對事物的厭惡、對人的恨意，最後甚至軟化成「我很不希望…」「不好意思打擾…」這種帶著情緒重量的客氣說法。
