Picture the moment of arrival, and the first thing that meets whoever has just arrived: a person saying hello, a crowd's reaction to a piece of news, or the smell of bread as you open the door. Greet is always about what comes to meet you at the threshold.

可以想成：某個人或某件事剛剛抵達，而畫面裡第一個迎上來的是什麼——可能是一個開口打招呼的人，可能是一群人對一則消息的反應，也可能是你推開門時撲鼻而來的麵包香。greet 講的一直是「在門口迎上來的那個東西」。
