Facilitation is the work of making a process or activity easier for other people. You do not do the whole job yourself; you clear the path so a meeting, a class, or a project can move. In offices, schools, and workshops, facilitation often means guiding a discussion: setting the questions, keeping time, helping quieter people speak. The related verb is facilitate. It is a formal, workplace word — you see it in reports and training more than at the dinner table. It is not the same as doing someone a favour. It is about making a process run more smoothly, not about being nice in general.
