- 1懇求（名詞）
An entreaty is the request itself: a serious, often emotional ask for someone to do something for you. You make an entreaty; you may make several entreaties. The feeling is the same as the verb entreat — not a casual favour, but asking from the heart, or as if a lot depends on the answer. Like the verb, it sounds a little old and belongs more to books, speeches, and careful writing than to chat. People still use it when they want the asking to sound grave.
