Enlargement is the act of making something bigger, or the bigger result of that. You might ask a photo shop for an enlargement of a picture — a bigger printed copy. Companies talk about the enlargement of a business, meaning it's growing larger. Doctors also use it for body parts that have grown bigger than normal, often as a sign of a health problem, like 'an enlargement of the heart.'
