Something is domed when it has a dome on it, or when it is shaped like one — round and rising in the middle, like an upside-down bowl. A domed roof, a domed stadium, a domed hill. It is a calm, describing word; you meet it with buildings, and sometimes with the body (a domed forehead) or with nature. It does not mean the building is famous, only that the top is that round shape.
