A dolmen is a very old stone structure: two or more big stones standing up, with one huge flat stone laid across the top, like a table of rock. People built them in ancient times, often as tombs. You may see them in pictures of old Europe; similar stone graves exist in other places too. It is not a pyramid, and it is not one single standing stone. The whole point is that table-like shape. The word belongs to history and archaeology — you will not hear it in everyday chat.

組成English borrowed this from French dolmen. One idea is that French built it from Breton words for 'table' + 'stone', though that mix may have been put together wrongly. Another idea is Cornish 'hole' + 'stone'. Scholars do not all agree, so treat the story as 'perhaps', not as a neat fact.
