A disciplinarian is someone who believes people should follow orders and rules, and who makes them do it — often a parent, teacher, coach, or boss. English very often says a strict disciplinarian, as if the two words belong together. The word can be said with respect (the team stays in line; things work) or with a little fear (they are harsh). It names the person, not the punishment and not the school subject. Though actually, people use it a bit loosely for anyone who is simply strict, even if they are not really ‘making others obey’ in an official way.
