Coquettish is the adjective that goes with a coquette: acting in that light, teasing, attention-seeking way, without the feeling being quite sincere. We often put it on a smile, a look, or a little movement — a coquettish glance — not only on a person. It is a rather literary word. It can describe a man, a hat, a laugh, even though the old picture behind it is a woman. Used as a judgement it is not kind; in stories it is often just playful. You will meet it on the page more than in everyday talk.
