You can picture taking many separate pieces — bricks, beams, planks, words, ideas — and joining them step by step into one larger thing that stands up on its own. 'Construction' is both that act of putting-together and the thing it produces.

可以想成把一堆散落的零件（磚塊、鋼樑、木板，甚至是字詞、想法）一塊一塊接起來，慢慢搭成一個能立得住、有結構的整體。construction 既指這個「拼接起來」的動作，也指拼出來的成品；蓋房子是它，造句、建立一套理論也是它。
