A clot is a thick lump that forms when a liquid, especially blood, partly turns solid - a blood clot inside the body can be dangerous if it blocks the flow of blood. As a verb, to clot means to form this kind of lump. In old-fashioned British English, calling someone 'a clot' is a mild, joking insult meaning they did something silly.
