Chosen is what is left after the act of choosing: out of several things, one has been picked out and set apart. Hold the picture of a hand reaching into a group and lifting one out — that lifted-out, 'this is the one' state is the whole word, whether it works as a verb form (have chosen) or as a label sitting in front of a noun (the chosen path).
可以想成「挑」這個動作做完之後留下的樣子：在好幾個東西裡，有一個被挑出來、擺到一邊。畫面像一隻手伸進一群東西，把其中一個拎起來——「就是這個」。這個被拎出來、定下來的狀態貫穿整個字，不管它當動詞形式（have chosen）還是當標籤擺在名詞前面（the chosen path）。
