可以想成「放低姿態、急切地討」：因為太想要或太需要某樣東西，於是不顧面子地懇求對方。抓住這個「低姿態地求」的畫面，後面的意思就連得起來：窮人沿街討、狗作揖討食、客氣話裡的「請、容我」，乃至推理上「把還沒證明的當成已成立」，都帶著這股「向人討」的味道。
