Picture the moment someone stops and says "oh, that's lovely" — beautifully names that reaction, attached to how something looks or how something is done. The word does not measure; it reports pleasure. Whether you are looking at a dress or listening to a piece of playing, beautifully says the thing gave you that same small lift.
