    backache 由 back（背）加上 ache 組成，ache 可以想成「一直在那裡、悶悶的痛」，跟突然刺一下的 sharp pain 不一樣：搬東西閃到那一下通常說 a sharp pain in my back，坐太久、書包太重慢慢累積出來的才叫 backache。中文如果痛的是下背和腰，我們會分成「腰痛」，但英文上下背都用 backache。英式英語說 have backache（不加 a），美式說 have a backache，兩種都很常見。
