Activism means working actively, through protests, campaigns, speeches, or organizing, to create social or political change, usually about something you believe is unfair. Someone who does this is called an 'activist.' Activism can be about many causes: the environment, human rights, workers' rights, and more. It's different from just having an opinion — activism means actually doing something public and organized to try to change things, not only talking about it privately.
