Acerbity is the noun: the quality of being acerbic — that sharp, bitter cleverness in someone’s criticism. Readers talk about the acerbity of a column or a review. It is a formal, word. In ordinary speech, people more often say how acerbic someone is, or they just call the remarks harsh.
